Physical Description: Average height, somewhat scruffy man in dirty, brown robes. He wears a simple brown belt and worn sandels.
Personality: Kind, gentle and extremely driven.
History: Born into a family of blacksmiths in a rural village, James' early education consisted of religious training by monks in the area. As he got older, however, his parents began to introduce him to stranger and more bizarre rituals. Eventually, he took part in dark rituals that were devoted to Graz'zt, demon lord of the Abyss. When he told the priests about it, his mother (who had masterminded it) was tried and burned as a heretic.

Needless to say, this shocked and hurt James. The young teenager was left with a bitter taste of betrayal in his mouth, and some odd sexual tendancies. He found his release in a woman named Ashley, the daughter of a noble. They fell passionately in love when he was 16, and he promised to marry her when she grew older. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Her father found out quickly and had him thrown in prison. He was tortured and broken while he was in the prison, but it had a good side as well. His cell mate, a young monk who had been caught begging on the steps of a noble's house, took in the young man and provided a role model for the frustrated youth. He followed a radical style of aestheticism that denied worldly possesions and encouraged devotion to a higher good through perfecting the mind, body and spirit.

James was intrigued by this. When he was released from prison, he returned to Ashley...but only to say goodbye. He left her and the noble, giving the man all of his possesions as restitution for hurting his daughter.

For his care, he was ran out of town for daring to show his face again.

After that, his friend introduced himself as Silvershine, a member of the Order of Genesis, and offered the young man a deal. He was not perfected, far from it, and had several flaws. They would accept him into the order...but only if he took a vow of chastity in addition to the normal vows.

James accepted, and was brought to their monestary on the plains, where he trained for 6 years, until he was 22. He became a full member three years ago in the presence of their guardian Celestial named Vordessan, who fully confirmed his vows and bound him with celestial magic to them. His master informed him that to progress, he would have to make his way through the world and learn more about it, perfecting both his martial and mental abilities. He would know when to return.

James has now come to the capital city of Anthropolis, making his living where he can with only the robes on his back. At least no one tries to rob him.
