Meanwhile back at the throne room

The door to the treasure room again opened. The queens consort walked in and pulled out a bag of gold. He returned to the throne room and the door slid shut behind him. He held out the bag.

"I believe 1,000 gold pieces should be adequate." The queen said returning to her throne.

James bowed as he saw the gold. "You are very kind. We will split it equally, I believe?" He looked at his teammates carefully, hoping that they'd be willing to do THAT much at least.
"333 gold pieces each."

Roderick grinned, and slipped the gold into his pouch. It was a pleasant feeling to have, and he savored the feeling, knowing that it'd disappear relatively quickly, as these things do.

"I assume that the last gold is for beer?" he asked, grinning and tossing the remainder of the gold in the small sack to Spook.

Akechetka shook the bag gently. Three hundred and thirty three coins. Sounded right.

"As always."

"I'm not sure how long it will take Mourgra to scry the locations of the staff pieces, but you will be sent for when she discovers it. Until then you can leave the palace grounds and aquire anything you may need." The queen gestured to the door and it opened.

James nodded slightly and smiled, hefting the sack. "This will feed plenty of people in need tonight..." He said softly. "And probably for the next month. I will make sure it is evenly distributed to various charities."

Lawful good didn't mean lawful STUPID. He knew of the corruption of temples and charities, and made sure that at least some of the money reached the poor by distributing it through lots of different charities. He bowed again and left, sighing softly.

His party mates were...interesting.

Roderick patted the bag, and considered his options. There were some things he wanted to create, and he was pretty certain that wherever they were going, they'd need to be able to move supplies. He'd need to look into that.

"Is there a gunsmith nearby that would consider renting part of his shop? I have some work I'd like to do before we go on this whole... saving the world thing.

Now he could actually pay for what he wanted in the market. Not that he would if he could avoid it, but this was an additional option.

"Meet back in the usual place, Rod'rick?"

"The one with that cute redheaded elf, or the one where dinner comes with a cute little blond thing?" He asked, moving towards the exit. He'd need a week to get everything done, possibly a little more.

"Oh, and do you want me to see about making you that boomstick?"

"The one where they refill your mug twice for a copper."

The goblin started towards the door as well, making a mental list of what he might require for a trip like this. He didn't even know where they were headed. It might be best just get basics and save the rest of the cash for specifics when they knew where they were going.

"Don't worry 'bout the rifle. I might figure something out myself."
